The Opportunity
Run your own business!, but not be in business by yourself.   We will teach you how to host your own Speed FRIENDING, Friendly Feud and/or Speed Networking events and keep 80% of the sales.  We have several other event types you can learn, or you can come up with your own.


Be your own boss: This will be your own small business (operated under the brand name of your choice) and I will be your coach on an ongoing basis. You will have the advantage of leveraging our proven system of running successful events.  If you have another business (e.g. Real Estate, Financial Advisor, Life Coach), the events will also be an ideal way for you to cross promote your existing service in a non-salesy way.

As the event organizer, you automatically have social proof and will begin to develop a rapport with attendees who may come back on a continuous basis.

My name is Jay and I started organizing events in 2003.  Initially started as a hobby to expand my social circle, things shifted to where I make a full time living through organzing events.  I have organized thousands of events over the years, learned the ins and outs of what seems to work and what to stay away from, and won several awards for being the Best of Long island.  Whether you are looking to organize events part time to make a few extra bucks, looking to one day go full time, or use the events as a way to cross promote your services, I can help.  


How much does this cost, what is included, and what other details should I know?

Training/Coaching-

8-12 Week Live Zoom Group training calls with question and answer sessions.  This will include coaching on:

  • Coming up with event ideas and facilitating events;
  • The secret sauce:  using the "speed" format;  
  • Determining costs and profitability;
  • Venue selection;
  • Ticketing systems;
  • Working with outsource labor for administrative tasks;
  • Setting ticket pricing;
  • Merchant accounts;
  • Filling the room through marketing & advertising & promotions;
  • Keyword research 
  • Search engine optimization; 
  • Customer service;
  • Newsletters;
  • Other duties related to organizing and conducting events. 


    Other details
  • We will teach you step by step how to run your own successful social events.

  • You keep 80% of your sales.  

  • We get 20% of the gross sales as an ongoing consulting fee regardless of whether you enroll in our additional $65 monthly program that provides you with a website and ticketing system.  

  • Coaching.  I will provide ongoing coaching at a maxium of 5 hours per month to ensure continued success.

  • You will have your own territory to run events and we will not train anyone else to run these events within 50 miles of your home base.  If you fail to run an event for 3 consecutive months, that exclusive territory right will be removed and we will retain the right to train others in your area.

Once you complete the training, you will need a website and ticketing system to use.  The following is included in the $55.00 per month rate.  Alternatively you will have the option to build your own website and or use any ticketing platform you desire. 

 

  •  Website - You will be provided with your own 6 page website.  The website will have the same standard colors seen on SocialEvents123.com.

  • Robust Tickeing System - We have spent 16 years customizing our ticketing system to which you will have full access.

  • Website Hosting - We will be paying for website hosting.  You will be coming up with your own brand name, logo and URL to operate as.  (Logo creation cost is not included in this rate).

  • Search Engine Optimization.   The website will have its own domain name, but you will benefit with "link juice" from our Parent Websites.   

  • Coaching.  I will provide ongoing coaching at a maximum of 5 hours per month to ensure continued success. 

 

Note:  This package uses the EventJer ticketing platform that charges a fee on top of the base ticket price.  This fee is passed along to the customer so it will not cost you anything.  (E.g. Ticket price is $15 plus a $1.99 ticketing fee for a total of $16.99).  You receive $15.00 and EventJer gets the $1.99.

 

Other Expenses

You will have both one time an ongoing expenses and part of our consulting will be to teach you to keep those to a minimum.  Examples include but are not limited to:  Registering your business name, Microphone system, name tags, paper, printing, advertising etc. 

 

Sample Event Financial breakdown 

Lets take a look at a conservative event example where you set a ticket price of $15.95 and sold 30 tickets.   

Ticket price:        $15.95
# of tickets sold:  30

$478.50 in Gross sales
-20% (our percentage):  -$95.70

$382.80 is left at this point.  

From this $382.80, lets estimate that you spent $100-$150 on expenses (advertising, nametags, paper, printing, outsource administrative).  
Your net for this one event will be  $232.80- $282.80

*The above numbers are used for sample purposes only.  Your actual sales and expenses may vary greatly.  At our NYC events, we typically have 50-75 attendees for Friendly Feud and approximately 40-50 attendees for Speed Friending.  Your territory may be busier or slower than what we have in NYC.
